Meet the Honda REMIX - sports car rediscovered. It's pure sport, with a nimble drive from a 4-cylinder engine, 6-speed manual transmission, sport suspension and aggressive tires and brakes. The Revelation
This October at the Paris Auto Show, Honda will reveal a concept version of our new small hybrid vehicle— with spirited performance and all the amenities you’d expect. This new car will be priced significantly lower than hybrids available today, making it possible for more people to drive hybrids.
The Name
What do you call such a car? Honda delivered the first mass-production hybrid model to the U.S. and Europe back in 1999, the Honda Insight. Perfect name, right? Now used for our newest hybrid, the name honors our historical commitment to environmentally responsible technology. Takeo Fukui, Honda Motor Co., Ltd. CEO put it best:

"The original Honda Insight pioneered hybrid technology in the U.S. and remains a symbol of Honda's commitment to innovative technology and fuel efficiency. This new Insight will break new ground as an affordable hybrid within the reach of customers who want great fuel economy and great value."

The Insight
The Insight sports a unique style and sophisticated design, sharing styling cues with the groundbreaking FCX Clarity fuel cell vehicle. The Insight concept, a futuristic five-door hatchback, is powered by a new lighter weight and efficient Integrated Motor Assist IMA® system that offers great performance. And there’s no shortage of amenities to liven up your commute.
The Timing
When can you get your hands on your very own Insight? Luckily you won't have to wait long. It goes on sale in the U.S. during the spring of 2009. In the meantime, check back here for photos, news and live updates direct from the Paris Auto Show October 4-19, 2008.
Bring on the Hybrids
Following the launch of the new Insight, Honda also plans to introduce another unique sporty hybrid vehicle based on the CR-Z Concept, first shown at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. CR-Z is Honda's new hybrid sports car, and the name stands for "Compact Renaissance Zero." Two new hybrids from Honda. The news can't get much better than that.

The BMW X5 (E53) is a mid-size luxury SUV (SAV) sold by BMW since 2000. It features all-wheel drive and a line of straight-6 and V8 engines. For non-U.S. models there is a 3.0 L diesel engine. The BMW E70 automobile platform replaced the BMW E53 as the X5's underpinnings in November 2006. The E70-based X5 SUV features many new technological advancements including BMW's iDrive system as standard equipment and, for the first time in a BMW, an optional third row seat. The current generation incorporates safety innovations for the crossover segment, such as a unique rear framing section to protect 3rd row occupants from injury due to an impact. The U.S. E70 features either a 3.0si(253 hp)or a 4.8i(350 hp) powertrain. In most parts of Europe, either a 3.0d(232 hp)or a 3.0sd(282 hp) powertrain is available. It has been announced that the X5 M will be released in 2008. It will feature the V12 engine from the 7 Series, which will provide the car with 432 hp (322 kW). The X5 M will feature a full body kit, new alloy wheels, and generally a revised look. - Mercedes-Benz automobiles are available at dealerships in over 130 countries and their work fleet (trucks and commercial vehicles) are available from a group of dealers worldwide as well as direct from the factory. As with several other European automobile brands, Mercedes has offered a European delivery option for American customers who purchase a Mercedes-Benz automobile. McLaren cars. Mercedes-Benz has also produced a supercar with McLaren Cars, an extension of the collaboration by which Mercedes engines are used by the Team McLaren-Mercedes Formula One racing team, which is part owned by Mercedes. The 2003 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren has a carbon fiber/fibre body with a 5.5l V8 supercharged engine. This is the same block as featured in SL55 AMG and the CLS55 AMG, though modified to give 460 kW (630 PS/620 hp) and 780 N·m (575 ft·lb) of torque. The SLR has a maximum speed of 334 kilometres per hour (208 mph) and costs approximately US$500,000. Due to european pedestrian-protection regulations, Mclaren has decided to cease production of the SLR in 2009. The most recent new joint-venture model, expected to reach production, is the mid-engine P8 supercar. Based around a unique carbon fiber/fibre monocoque, manufactured by McLaren, the P8 was originally predicted to receive the new naturally aspirated 6.3L V8 from Mercedes-AMG, but insiders[citation needed] now say that the engine will be modified for the car and will probably be twin- turbocharged to produce in excess of 600 bhp (450 kW). The car is still in development, but likely to reach production to go on sale in early 2008, and have a price tag less than that of the SLR. - The Chevrolet brand is currently undergoing a product restructuring in North America along with all other GM brands in order to fit into the parent company's turnaround efforts. The Monte Carlo personal luxury coupe, although popular over much of its life cycle since its initial 1970 introduction, went on production hiatus at the end of the 2007 model year. although GM has not announced permanent retirement of the Monte Carlo brand. Meanwhile, an entirely new version of the Malibu sedan was introduced for 2008 as a result of these efforts. The Malibu has turned out to be a strong seller in its debut year, one of the bright spots in an otherwise difficult year for GM and the entire North American auto industry. The upcoming designs are expected to have more intriguing features than current models. Chevrolet will also reintroduce its Camaro Concept pony car on its new Zeta platform designed in alliance with GM Holden Australia. GM announced in August 2006 that it would be on sale for the 2009 model year. Three subcompact concepts debuted on April 4, 2007 at the New York International Auto Show. The Trax, the Beat, and the Groove was voted on to see which will be offered as a production model. This year, General Motors will be introducing the 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 sports car. It comes with a small block LS9 6.2 liter V8 and a Eaton TVS supercharger and intercooler which gives it more than 600 hp. - Ford Motor Company manufactures automobiles under several names including Lincoln and Mercury in the United States. In 1958, Ford introduced a new marque, the Edsel, but poor sales led to its discontinuation in 1960. Later, in 1985, the Merkur brand was introduced to market Fords from Europe in the United States; it met a similar fate in 1989. Ford has major manufacturing operations in Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Germany, Turkey, Brazil, Argentina, Australia, the People's Republic of China, and several other countries, including South Africa where, following divestment during apartheid, it once again has a wholly owned subsidiary. Ford also has a cooperative agreement with Russian automaker GAZ. Since 1989, Ford has acquired Aston Martin (which it sold again on March 12, 2007,[25] but it will retain a $77 million stake in the sports car maker[26]), and Volvo Cars from Sweden, as well as a controlling share (33.4%) of Mazda of Japan, with which it operates an American joint venture plant in Flat Rock, Michigan called Auto Alliance. Ford's FoMoCo parts division sells aftermarket parts under the Motorcraft brand name. Ford also sponsors numerous events and sports facilities around the nation, most notably Ford Center in downtown Oklahoma City and Ford Field in downtown Detroit.
